Purpose

Purpose – Proverbs 19:21 Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails

You made it! You’re here and that’s super exciting! I’m Stacy, the creator and artist behind SG Fine Arts. I am also a veteran infantryman-LEO wife, mother of three, histotechnologist, and a passionate lover of margaritas on the rocks with salt. I started SG Fine Arts from a desire to give back. I create Christian influenced woodcuts and watercolors that demonstrate American patriotism in an effort to help support our soldiers, law enforcement officers and their families. I was originally inspired from the amazing tattoos I was seeing friends get. To me those tattoos represent art in its purest form – they embrace a deep meaning true to who you are and represent a part of you and your experiences. They mean something deep within your soul and that is what art does…it provides a means of immortalizing an emotional feeling that words can’t describe. So art had to be made! I found myself with an overwhelming desire to make art to honor their sacrifices and provide a means of remembering the positive aspects of service. It has evolved into not only a way for me to reach out to all the BAMF warriors we have defending our great nation but it has also become a means of healing, coping and creating camaraderie among strangers.

In this journal you will find:

– Creatives that I love and find inspiring and motivating

– Reports on galleries and museum shows

– Reviews of art books and documentaries

– Ups and downs of art business

A collection of all the things that influence and inspire the creative soul of SG Fine Arts.

That’s the business and blog but what about me well, I am originally from southern Mississippi, graduated from Ole Miss with a degree in Biology / Studio Art, met a soldier, fell in love, and relocated to our forever home in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. When I am not taking care of babies, working, or painting I enjoy sitting in front of the fireplace with a good cup of coffee in the peace and quite.

So with all that said, here’s to our soldiers in the field, our law enforcement working the streets, families at home anticipating their safe return and the American Patriot…this ART is for YOU!

Art to Fuel the American Spirit!
